Deep Blue has begun hosting video recordings of the Wallenberg Lectures, given in memory of University of Michigan alumnus and humanitarian Raoul Wallenberg. The first batch to be made available via Deep Blue are the 2008-2010 lectures by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, journalist Lydia Cacho, and Dr. Denis Mukwege. Deep Blue has begun to formally host content from the Bentley Historical Library, the official archive of the University of Michigan. As a result of this new partnership, we have created a new area in Deep Blue specifically for their archival material: Archival Collections — Bentley Library. Deep Blue has begun automatically acquiring U-M authored works published by BioMed Central (BMC) using the SWORD protocol. Our first batch batch from them added 23 items to our Interdisciplinary and Peer-Reviewed collection. Older articles will start to flow in shortly, and from now on the articles will come to Deep Blue as they appear in BMC journals.

We recently completed an analysis of current U-M authors represented in Deep Blue. There are a lot of ways to look at the data, but the most compelling statistic is probably this one:  roughly 55% of our full time professors have work in the service.
