Michigan Publishing is pleased to announce the launch of a new peer-reviewed, open access journal, Gender, Sexuality, and Feminism. Publishing twice a year, this interdisciplinary publication focuses on theoretically innovative and methodologically diverse research in the fields of gender studies, masculinities, sexualities and feminism.
The first issue features articles on the experiences of Mexican women in the wake of Mexico’s 2007 de-criminalization of abortion, the gendering of medical careers in Ireland, transnational experiences of women working in the IT sector, and more.
The editors welcome unsolicited submissions articles and book reviews that contribute to the understanding of:
- power systems
- resistance to liberation movements
- stigma and discrimination
- differential access to resources
- diversity and LGBT issues
GSF also selects at least one outstanding article by a scholar in the early stages of a career in academic research for each issue, thereby providing support for new voices and emerging scholarship.
