The Library’s print on demand program features more than 400,000 available titles from the University of Michigan Library’s collections, all either in the public domain or being sold by permission of the rights holder. These reprints are available from several print vendors, including Amazon, Hewlett-Packard, and Lightning Source. Not surprisingly, sales of these books typically align with the Long Tail model, whereby the Library sells single copies of many titles each month. However, there are often a handful of titles each month that sell more than one copy. Over the past two months, these are the “bestselling” titles based on sales data from Amazon.com:
- The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs
- The Genius of Christianity by Francois-Rene Chateaubriand
- Judah’s Sceptre and Joseph’s Birthright by J. H. Allen
- Forest Trees of Maine and How to Know Them by the Maine Forest Commissioner
- Memoirs of William Miller by Sylvester Bliss
